The new designed rocker boxes are technically fully functional and suitable for the standard Shovelhead rockerarms and rocker shafts

17516-77B, 17517-77B, 17518-80, 17550-80, 17552-80, 17500-66 + 17502-66)
IRON WING´s Knovelhead Rockerboxes are designed to fit all 1966-1984
Harley-Davidson Shovelhead engines as well as earlier Pan and Knuckles equipped with Shovelhead cylinder and cylinder heads. The exterior dimensions are the same as stock. With a few minor exceptions, no modification should be necessary when replacing stock rocker boxes with IRON WING´s Knovelhead. The assembling is, because of the suitable manufacturing less of problems and, disregard of a new gasket, you will need no other parts.

The whole original valve drive as it is in your Standard Shovelhead rocker box can be used further in our Knovelhead product. The rockerbox is suited for the original Harley-Davidson rockerarms und rocker shafts.

The rockerboxes will be brought to T6 specification in CNC-milled permanent forms of A239+ by heat treatment.The end-processing takes place on an up-to-date horizontal mill-center.
In conjunction with a state-of-the-art alloy-casting-technique and laser aided computer-construction and design (CAD) together with CNC-manufacturing we fullfill the highest quality requirements with our product.
