What can be there more beautiful,
as preferably put many of the own
Goodies into a reorganization... -

Gerd often heard that, if he as Customizer in Europe far known and as producer of a row of parts inclusive of the internationally known Knovelhead rocker-boxes was visited.
"Whoever has his Custom Bike built with
IRON WING, that wants to see obstruct normally also the house-own parts ", Gerd tells.
The development of sharings is, beside the repairs, that, with which one itself the Custom and parts settled in the North German Bremerhaven in the city-south smithies primarily busy. So, one works with high pressure at a new air cleaner-design, that should come as further product on the market already soon, at present for example.
Therefore, it doesn't go here in this article however. Here, it should be less about individual parts as something can rather do about that one from them. Bikes, like which here described splendor steel steed of Torsten from Bremerhaven.
"Some customers have quite exact ideas. We had with this job however, dependent on the presentation, most extensive free hand. Only the varnishing should get the bearings as near as possible by the presentation and in principle it should become an "Oldstyler" reported Gerd.
As Torsten, an old friend and tidings of the house, one work-day into the workshop came and the illustration of an old Big Twin Model 74 of the thirties from the bag and extended it in front of us, we wondered how about a reproduction would look on the base of materials applied today and technology.
From this thought inspired decided Torsten after some back and forth, ("my dear Secretary of the Treasury...") , to give this reorganization in job not much later. One, Gerd and Torsten decided to integrate, the no longer insignificant number of products from the home of
IRON WING in this steel-steed  simultaneously with to obstruct and to work for new solutions at suitable positions, saddle-support shock, instrumentation of the Skull Dash.
The
Knovelhead rockerboxes, that should gives the bike a Knucklehead similar style (on the base of an Early Shovel motor of S+S), stood there at highest order with the own parts of course. Not too the polished Oil supply set stainless-steel ducts belonging to it with the certain bends. Alternatively also the flexible Oil supply set been able to become install, Torsten decided in favor of the polished however.
For the oil filter a casing from aluminium was designed. Placed at the fore engine block and equipped with two managements, mixed stainless-steel and rubber hose -  because of the vibrations - in each case the filter was connected with the oil circulation-system. The saddle is equipped on a stainless-steel-bearer, that was fortified between the two tank-halves at the framework forward, with a shock, that is recessed in the framework-tube. The front wheel-brake of S-S-C needed considerable rework and corrections, until to the desired extreme reduction of the disks, until everything worked after wish and also looked.
The
oiltank-mounting kit from stainless-steel, that connects the oiltank and the framework (V-G) over a pair of rubber mounts and moreover has a reception for the clutch-train.
That with additional instruments (ammeters and oil pressure-ad) equipped Skull-Dash, that not lets his leader in the dark also on night-trips, because red LED´s generate sufficiently light efficiency.
The
kickstand stop of stainless-steel with rocker adjusting screw. The Big Twin Swingarm pivot axis from stainless-steel, that only for ornamental reasons ("... looks horny however!) in the Softail swing resonates.
And ´Last But need Least´ the entire vehicle-electric system, that equips labelings with each quantity, a possible later intervention straight away understandable does.
The basis for the construction formed then, as already mentioned, a V-G frame from the year ´93 that in the front as Hardtail and behind as Softail displayed is. The motor for this frame by S+S, is an Early Shovel in the Generator/Alternator casing and became Andrew's camshaft with 1340´er cylinders of STD, S+S 1340´er crankshafts, S+S dual-firing cylinder-heads and Arias-pistons equipped. The valves of Velva Touch, the ignition, a Dyna 2000 I and a DellOrtho 40 Ø rounds off the system. The lubrication procures a S+S oil pump, EVO system. At the exhaust, manifolds of V-Team sit, that in context with that original Police Mufflers for the here necessary sound-absorption should provide. That 4-speed mechanisms to the motor comes from RevTech and the clutch with special-treatment from
IRON WING. The primary-drive struggels as chain in a FXSB-case and is lubricated separately, the secondary-drive is aimed as Belt and effects a Speed Point Pulley wich also functions simultaneously as brake.
The V-G framework is original and in front equipped with a Springer front end and rear with an original H-D swingarm, that damps with shock absorbers by progressive suspension, equips with an original item H-D behind. As wheels, 16" cast wheels H-D original with 16 spokes were selected, that had however still to be revised behind, consciously. Wide white-wall-rubbers for these rims are MT90 H16 Avon Gangsters. The handlebars of V-Team, that sits in handlebar risers of
IRON WING, rounds the good impression, that the Bike leaves, upward. The saddle of Corbin is lifted by a stainless-steel inert and downward dampers with a shock absorber.
In front of the Fat-Bob-Tank, a Springer lamp ignites the main-light. A BMW Cruiser part was alienated as tail-light and plate for the license-plate. The armatures are H-D originals, equally like the H-D floor-boards and the H-D original item fenders for rear - and front wheel. These fenders are hung up on from laser-cutted stainless-steel-bearers, that hand-processed was brought into the right form to the original.
Still one - the forward signalers are admittedly bought but in the attachment so produced of Gerd´s
IRON WING.
Oh the painter - that was also such a story. At the end it needed three of them until K.H.Wiese, from Schiffdorf, near Bremerhaven, finally provided the right apply color.
